Never ever start any Electrical Installations and Maintenance without preparation and safety tools. Always make sure to turn off the power to the specific circuit whenever you’re working with electrical items. You should know that water and electricity don’t get along, so make sure to unplug the unit before cleaning.

Either you would notice the lights or electricity are constantly flickering or you feel a mild electric shock when plugging into an outlet, call the professional to inspect your home for potentially serious electrical issues.

 #2 Use electronics accordingly

Being sensible around the home when using electrical outlets and accessories. Never overload socket outlets using adaptors or extension leads and remember water and electricity don’t mix. Never turn on light switches or unplug things with wet hands!

Current regulations make it a requirement that all new installations are fitted with consumer units (fuse boards) RCBO these are designed to switch off the circuit immediately should there be dangerous occurrences. If you have an old fuse board it might be worth investing in a new consumer unit.

#3 Be careful of plugs and cables
